In October 2002 Buzz announced that Bournemouth would become their new Second Uk Base. On Friday 31st 2003 Ryanair announced that they were buying Buzz. |

| Four days Later On Tuesday 4th February 2003 Buzz/ Ryanair announced that the Bournemouth network offering seven routes to destinations such as Murcia, Malaga, La Rochelle, Paris, Belfast, Amsterdam and Bergerac would be cancelled and the Base scrapped! Leaving thousands disappointed and upset. The south's people have waited years for a proper low cost airline to come and just as its about to start its landed before its even taken off!! This will cause major problems and the local economy are likely to suffer. |
